Too many families have been separated by deportation. It is a cruel and heartless policy. The University of Arizona has done a study of deportees and found that the majority will make every effort to return. A policy cannot separate families because fathers and mothers, sons and daughters will do everything they can to return home. To millions of deportees home is the United States where their US citizen families live.
Earlier this month, a man was found severely dehydrated and barely conscious in the desert. He had been deported and missed his family so much that he risked his life to return to them. Miraculously he survived though he faces a hearing that will likely result in a prison sentence followed by deportation. What would you do?
